The new deck is the better of the two decks, in a vacuum - the cards are more balanced, and it's basically v2.0. That being said, the old deck contains the following cards: Injured Pilot - All players must ignore your pilot ability and all of your Elite upgrade cards.

- Sep 05, 2015 No, but they can't but they can make it a requirement in competitive play. All they have to do is update the competitive play rules to include the latest damage deck and the episode 7 core set is now a requirement. Now they haven't done that yet, but why make a new damage deck if you don't make it a requirement to play?
- A standard damage deck has 33 cards. There are 14 different Critical Hits per deck. There are 7 'Direct Hit' cards and 2 of each for the other 13 card types. The X-Wing Core Set and the The Force Awakens Core Set are currently the only way to obtain a damage deck for the small and large ships.
Print as placed, they should fit on any type of printer since they are pretty small. For one large box you'll need to print one base and one lid. The smaller box is placed with the lid and box in one file.
I use the following to print:
1.75mm PLA, .15 layer height, 0 perimeters, no supports/raft/brim should be necessary.

- The Logos on the Lid:
These are printed separately. Just glue them on afterwards (or not!) - The Hinge:
You'll need a bit of 1.75mm filament for the hinge pin, I hold a lighter to the sticking-out-end of the filament once it's inserted into the hinge for about 1-2 seconds, then use a wet finger to push the hot end a little (be careful!) that'll be enough to make the filament bulge out and stop it sliding around (do this to both ends). - Finishing:
The clip at the front is quite tight when first printed, it needs a bit of sanding/filing down (just a few seconds) to get it to a place that you're happy with. I like it to really grip the box so it's very hard to flip open, but you can just sand it down a little more to tune it to your needs. - Painting:
Whatever you like! I used Acrylics airbrushed on for the box and the blaster-burns on the rebel boxes, and brush-painted the weathered red on the rebel logos. Then drybrushed with silver. The imperial boxes are just airbrushed a flat gunmetal type grey.
